This design comes from a drawing I made long ago while sitting on a hillside on a spring day, observing the field grasses laid flat by a long winter’s snow pack. In the years since, I incorporated this drawing on my business card and have made pieces on its variation. Behind the graceful intersecting lines in this newest interpretation, I recessed the background, created a texture and added a patina to make the lines stand out. Its spherical swell creates fullness, making this image come alive. These sterling silver earrings are 5/8” x 5/8” and they are on sterling ear wires.
