I start creating my designs in my sketchbook. I began this piece as a study of the interaction of lines running over and under each other, imagining solid areas with lines reappearing so they are all related. After the lines made sense to me and I had added a patina to them, I softened a rectangle to develop the exterior shape. By filing notches into the perimeter, I added the power I wanted for the outside shape. This pendant is 3/4" x 1-1/8" and comes on a 1.5mm sterling silver snake chain.
